Welder/Journeyman Pipefitter – 5 positions currently available

Day Shift: 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Pay Range: $19-$26/hr. DOE

Welder/Journeyman Pipefitter Job Description:

  • Read and execute blueprints to specification
  • Demonstrate experience with rigging and perform safe operation of welders, cutting equipment, tube bending and pipe threading machines, overhead cranes, forklifts and various shop tools
  • Be able to use a ruler, square, scribe and templates to layout and mark weld points on parts and subassemblies
  • Fabrication of equipment and assembly of components as needed
  • Understand how to properly position materials in holding fixtures and jigs
  • Fabricate and assemble screwed piping and tubing
  • Adjust piping as needed and fit field weld pipe or buttweld fitting, flange and/or brackets
  • Know how to perform proper fit-ups of joints to ensure quality and strength of welds and pass inspection


  • Pass the following: a 5 panel drug test and random UA upon hire; alcohol screen; and national background check
  • Be an ASME certified welder and pass a rigorous weld test that includes 8″ pipe, .500″ wall 6010 root, 7018 fill and cap in 6G position and 8″ pipe, .500″ wall hard wire root and flux core fill and cap in 6G position
  • Experience in pipe fitting and pipe welding and building pressure carbon and stainless steel pipe
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Journeyman Pipefitter in an industrial setting is required
  • Able to handle physical job requirements that includes heavy lifting, heat, noise, and indoor or outdoor work
  • Open to shift work
  • Possess mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude
  • Present steel toe boots that meet 2413 requirement prior to the administration of weld tests
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Must have earned a high school diploma or G.E.D.
